Santo Domingo, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) The Ibero-American Foreign Ministers will meet on November 26 in this capital, to discuss the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, collaboration and the Covid-19 .
Body: According to a press release from the Dominican Foreign Ministry, the meeting that will be held in the centrally located Hotel Embajador, is framed within the Pro Tempore Secretariat of the Ibero-American Conference assumed by the Dominican Republic last April, from the hands of the Principality of Andorra.
He also specified that at the meeting the ministers will continue the dialogue with a view to post-pandemic recovery, and at the end of it an official declaration will be issued in which they will propose proposals and initiatives aimed at strengthening the integration of the Ibero-American countries, multilateralism, democracy and the well-being of the people.
The communication added that they will also discuss the proposals made by the Finance Ministers aimed at facing economic crises, debt issues, as well as what was discussed in the ministerial meetings of Health and Culture. In addition, as part of what was agreed by the main cultural authorities, it will be decided to declare 2022 as the Ibero-American Year of culture and sustainable development.
Finally, the information indicated that progress will be made in the selection process of the new Ibero-American Secretary General to replace Rebeca Grynspan, who was appointed Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
