Caracas, Nov 18 (Prensa Latina) The governing United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) on Thursday advocates for signing an agreement with opposition parties so that all organizations involved in the November 21 election respect the outcome.
On his regular TV program “Con el Mazo Dando,” broadcast by Venezolana de Television state-owned channel, PSUV First Vice President Diosdado Cabello repeated the willingness of the country’s main political alliance to sign the mentioned document, and insisted on the call to the opposition to support the proposal.
More than 20 million Venezuelans will cast their votes on November 21 to elect the country’s 23 governors and 335 mayors, in addition to the members of regional and municipal legislative councils.
Likewise, Cabello, who is also a legislator in the National Assembly (Parliament), referred to the confrontation in the state of Bolivar between the team of opposition candidate Raul Yusef against Americo de Grazia, also a candidate for governor, in the presence of observers from the European Union.
Cabello attributed this event to the existing fragmentation within the opposition, due to the power struggle among several factors of the extreme right wing.
