Mobility on the Rumiñahui General Highway will be improved thanks to the Pichincha Government Toll Express device.

Carriers can purchase it until March 19.

Paola Pabón, prefect of the Government of Pichincha, agreed to enforce the mandatory use of the Toll Express device for passenger transport on the General Rumiñahui Highway along with representatives of the Union of Transporters and the Consortium of Intercantonal Operators of the Valley of the Chillos.

The objective of the measure is to decongest the toll sector. The carriers agree and promised to give immediate compliance, to contribute to the improvement of the mobility of the area. The representative of the Union of Transporters said that the transports will have in the device within a maximum period of 15 days.

To provide facilities to carriers, technicians from the Prefecture will install them in the units, in places established by the cooperatives, whose owners can acquire them until March 19.

Toll lanes 1 and 14 will be assigned for the differentiated use of passenger transport buses, which will be automated for use of the Express Toll, as confirmed in Punto Noticias, Estuardo Ruiz, director of the Rumiñahui General Highway.

With this device, the sector will decongest, environmental pollution will decrease, passengers will wait less time, and quality and service will improve.
