8.4 million people across the country have been vaccinated with the two doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccines, Sinovac and AstraZeneca, and with the CanSino unit dose, available in the country until this Monday, August 30, 2021.
This was announced by the Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón, at a press conference in which she reported the start of a countdown to reach the goal of nine million vaccinated in 100 days.
“Today we officially start the last section of this stage of the plan. There are barely nine days to go before we reach the 100th day, ”Garzón said.
For his part, the Vice Minister of Governance and Health Surveillance, José Ruales, explained that there are currently 303 fixed active vaccination posts, nationwide and 400 mobile vaccination brigades.
According to the registry of the «Vacunometer», until last August 28, 18,195,864 biologicals were applied between first and second doses: 1,850,838 correspond to AstraZeneca; 119,853 to the Chinese CanSino vaccine; 5,083,718 to Pfizer and 11,141,455 to Sinovac.
