Ecuador received a new shipment with 197,730 doses of Pfizer

197,730 doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine arrived in the country, to continue with the 9/100 Vaccination Plan.

The shipment arrived at the Mariscal Sucre airport in Quito and will be distributed in the different vaccination centers, to apply the second doses of this pharmaceutical company in order for people to complete their vaccination schedule.

The Ministry of Health reported that during this week it is planned to immunize with the CanSino vaccine (a single dose), the population lagging behind from 18 to 60 years old who did not receive the first dose.

Also, for second doses, Pfizer, Sinovac and AstraZeneca are available, depending on the vaccination schedule; while the first doses of these drugs will be applied from September.

Until last August 8, more than 17 million vaccines have been applied nationwide, between first and second doses. 7..096,816 people have received the two doses; while 9,979,890 have been inoculated with the first application of the vaccines available in the country.
