Ecuadorian social organizations announce national mobilization for August 11

The Unitary Front of Workers, the National Union of Educators, the General Union of Workers of Ecuador and other social sectors announced a mobilization at the national level, for next August 11, starting at 4:00 p.m.

This was announced by the leaders of these organizations in a press conference offered this Tuesday, August 3, in which they denounced that President Guillermo Lasso has not listened to his demands.

In Quito, the march will start from the social security box, on Avenida 10 de Agosto and will go to the Historic Center, informed the president of the FUT, Andrés Sánchez.

Likewise, they demanded that the president freeze the price of fuels, given the monthly increase in these derivatives; as well as compliance with the 40% contribution to the IESS, by the Government.

The leaders agreed that the Humanitarian Law, implemented by Lenín Moreno, brought job insecurity and job instability, as well as to increase the great fortunes.

For her part, the president of the UNE, Isabel Vargas, also complained about the lack of dialogue from the Executive, to solve the problem regarding the reforms to the Organic Law of Intercultural Education.

Social leaders indicated that with this mobilization it is expected that the national government will respond to their requests and allow dialogue with each of the sectors.
