Ecuador receives 3,000,000 doses of the vaccine from the pharmaceutical company Sinovac

This Sunday, July 18, 3,000,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine arrived in the country.

José Ruales, Vice Minister of Governance, commented that this shipment will serve to continue with the immunization plan to reach 9’000,000 people in the first 100 days of the Government.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health pointed out that with this new batch of doses the inoculation process is guaranteed and recalled that all vaccines are safe.

With this shipment, there are 9.2 million doses delivered by the Asian supplier to Ecuador. The first batch entered on March 6, as a donation from the Government of Chile. However, the first load negotiated by the previous administration arrived on April 7, with 300,000 formulas.

The current government negotiated the arrival of 7’000,000, to solve the lack of vaccines from the Chinese CanSino, which had a problem in its manufacturing line.
