Bolivian government links U.S. to coup d’état in 2019

 (Prensa Latina) A senior US official met and discussed in 2019 with other countries´ diplomats an alleged fraud in the Bolivian elections in order to touch off a coup against former President Evo Morales, the Bolivian government confirmed.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Kevin O’Reilly spoke on the subject ‘with the ambassadors of Peru, Argentina, Brazil, OAS and the European Union,’ the Minister of Government Eduardo del Castillo said.

‘This man hinted at that meeting the possibility of a fraud in our country,’ said Del Castillo.

O’Reilly´s accusations, sent in July 2019 by Donald Trump, alluded to the October 20 elections as Evo Morales took the lead as candidate for the Movement for Socialism (MAS).
