(Prensa Latina) Israel on Monday reiterated its threat to attack Iranian facilities with the argument to prevent that country from obtaining nuclear weapons, although Tehran insists that its program is peaceful.
‘We will act with everything in our power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to avoid its efforts to rearm (?) from air, land, cyber domain or sea,’ Defense Minister Benny Gantz said during an interview on television.
We will do it at the right time and place for us, with the aim of preserving our military superiority, he stressed.
Earlier last month, Gantz told Fox News that Israel could launch a military operation against Iran if its allies do not do so.
In response, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami warned that if his country is attacked, it would strike back with force.
