(Prensa Latina) Former Uruguayan President José Mujica on Thursday described the economic and financial US blockade imposed on Cuba as grubby and savage.
Mujica lashed out at any blockade throughout history that was always characterized by ‘making the most humble peoples face bitterness and difficulties’.
‘Cuba suffers from many difficulties, lack of syringes to administer vaccines the country has developed hard-won,’ Mujica said, adding that if ‘such savagery can have political justification.’
