This Thursday, June 3, during a meeting between the Consortium of Provincial Autonomous Governments of Ecuador (CONGOPE) and government authorities, the prefect of Pichincha, Paola Pabón, highlighted the importance of reactivating the country’s economy, as well as the need to include in the vaccination plan for the different sectors of the province.
In her intervention, the prefect expressed the need to form mobile brigades, to vaccinate people who live in rural areas, for which, she made all the logistics of the Provincial Government available to the authorities.
«Taking an old man out of a parish that is two and a half hours from the province is illogical. It is different if, using the infrastructure of the prefecture and parish councils, we move to rural areas, “she said.
Likewise, the authority requested that the parish councils be included in the restructured 9/100 Vaccination Plan.
In this way, the prefect wished the authorities success in this new immunization plan against the coronavirus and extended all the predisposition, to vaccinate the population and reactivate the economy.
