(Prensa Latina) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov on Tuesday highlighted that his country is in favor of promoting mutually advantageous cooperation with all Latin American countries.
Addressing an international conference on occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the diplomat assured that Moscow does not look at the region through the geopolitical interests.
The Russian official spoke out against that the region becomes a scene in the rivalry between the world powers, according to Sputnik news agency.
About the current relation, Ryabkov recalled that Latin America was one of the hardest-hit regions by Covid-19 and in the last few months, Moscow has established delivery agreements with several nations from that region to purchase the Sputnik V vaccine to fight the pandemic.
