Arreaza rejects accusations that Venezuela interferes in Colombia

(Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza on Wednesday rejected statements of some Latin American politicians who accused the Bolivarian government of protests rolled out in Colombia.

‘They had taken a long time to blame Venezuela! These two individuals of a political species in the process of extinction, underestimate their peoples and quote each other to evade their guilt and incompetence. What a shame!’, Arreaza tweeted.

Arreaza’s statements come after former Colombian President Andrés Pastrana echoed Ecuadorian President Lenín Moreno´s accusations about Nicolás Maduro´s alleged accountability for demonstrations in that neighboring nation.

During his participation in the Forum for the Defense of Democracy, in Miami, United States, Lenín Moreno said the socio-political situation in Colombia is a consequence of Venezuelan government´s interference.

Colombian Institute of Studies for Development and Peace (INDEPAZ) confirmed on Wednesday that 31 people died in the national strike and social outbreak that shook Colombia for eighth straight day.
