The Minister of Health, Camilo Salinas, dismissed the authorities of the Zonal Coordination 9 of this State portfolio, after the complaints about the alleged vaccination of officials of the State Attorney General’s Office, in the Quito Exhibition Center.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Health, through its Twitter account, in which it stated:
"Faced with the situation that occurred in the Quito Exhibition Center, where older adults waited standing up and in the rain to be vaccinated, the Minister of Health dismissed Zonal Coordination 9 authorities".Salud explained that Salinas’ decision is due to the wait for the elderly, in the rain, to be immunized.
However, he did not specify that the reason for the removal of the officials of this Zonal Coordination is due to the alleged vaccination of officials of the Attorney General’s Office, who are not part of the personnel designated to receive the doses, in phase one of the Vaccine Plan.
"It is inadmissible that this type of action is repeated," the ministry concluded in its tweet.On the afternoon of this Wednesday, April 21, 2021, the complaint about PGE officials who came to the Quito Exhibition Center, in the north of the city, was known through Twitter, presumably to be inoculated.
The claim was known through the account of the journalist Ana Mariela Cevallos, and before the claims of more users, the Secretary General of the Office of the Presidency, Jorge Wated, announced sanctions on this fact and apologized.
