People over 90 years old can be vaccinated against Covid-19 without having to make an appointment in Ecuador

People over 90 years old should not schedule an appointment to be vaccinated against covid-19, as announced by the Minister of Health, Camilo Salinas, during a tour of one of the inoculation points enabled in Guayaquil.

This information was ratified by the Cabinet Secretary, Jorge Wated, through his Twitter account, but stressed that vaccination against Covid-19, without an appointment, only applies to citizens over 90 years of age.

In the same way, he dismantled a chain of messages that circulated on WhatsApp, in which he assured that this benefit was for people over 65 years of age.

It should be remembered that phase 1 of immunization against the virus considers the elderly, who must register (or be registered) on the portal www.planvacunarse.ec; after which they will receive, days later, a phone call and later a text message with the date, time and place of vaccination.

But, after this announcement, it is expected that from this Friday the attendance of people who arrive in search of a dose at the points enabled for vaccination will increase.
