The presidential candidates, Andrés Arauz from UNES and Guillermo Lasso from the CREO-PSC alliance, will close their electoral campaigns in Quito and Guayaquil, respectively.
Yesterday, the UNES candidate closed his campaign in Guayaquil, in an event in which he was accompanied by his supporters. While today, Arauz will officially end his campaign in Quito, as he did in the campaign for the first round, in which he finished in first place.
Guillermo Lasso will repeat what happened in the first round and will close his campaign in the city of Guayaquil. Yesterday, the president made a caravan that traveled from the center of the capital, to the Villaflora sector, to the south of the city.
The presidential candidates carried out their electoral promotion campaign for 24 days, in which they met with various sectors and organizations of society.
Any political act may be carried out until 11:59 p.m. on this day, from 00:00, because from 11:59 p.m. today, electoral silence will govern.
In this way, the candidates prepare for electoral day, for the second round, on Sunday, April 11, 2021, in which Ecuadorians will go to the polls.
