Ecuador receives the eighth batch of vaccines against COVID-19 from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Around 66.690 doses are added to the Vaccination Plan.
The country received five deliveries of the Pfizer vaccines in March. In addition, the country received a donation of Chinese Sinovac vaccines from Chile, and the first delivery of AstraZeneca vaccines, within the COVAX mechanism.
The country has a total of 445.590 doses to counter the respiratory virus: 341.590 doses of Pfizer, 84.000 doses of AstraZeneca and 20.000 Chinese vaccines.
Around 182.329 people have received the first vaccine until March 29, according to the Plan Vacunarse platform. While 62.537 people have already received both doses.
