Mexico, Brazil, Argentina most influential Latin American nations

(Prensa Latina) Mexico, Brazil and Argentina are nowadays the Latin American nations with greatest influence, according to the Brand Finance Consultancy´s 2021 report.

The Brand Finance reported that Brazil rating 35, Argentina 41, and Mexico 44, these three take the first three Latin American positions and are the only regional nations classed among the 50 most influential globally.

In 2021, the ranking includes 12 Latin American nations: Uruguay (56), Cuba (58), Panama (60), Paraguay (64), Costa Rica (68), Dominican Republic (73), Jamaica (77), Bolivia ( 85), Ecuador (91), Guatemala (101), Honduras (102) and Trinidad and Tobago (103).

The ranking highlights that these three countries (Brazil, Argentina and Mexico) share categories with above-average points in categories such as good places to visit, leaders in sports (mainly Argentina and Brazil) and friendly and fun people.

In the Brand Finance report, on the Covid-19 crisis management section, it penalized all Latin American countries for low ratings.

According to the study, Argentina and Colombia are the Latin American countries that improve their level of influence the most, in contrast to Venezuela that moved down to 92 position
