“A guy full of hate because he tried to do illegal business with the State and we stopped him.”
During the trial preparatory hearing on the 2012-2016 bribes case, Attorney General Diana Salazar announced the testimonial, documentary and expert evidence against the 24 defendants.
Meanwhile, former President Rafael Correa said the Prosecutor’s Office has no evidence, so he rejected that his brother Fabricio Correa be called as a witness in this process.

Como no tienen pruebas, ¿saben a quién llama la Fiscalía y Procuraduría como “testigo”? ¡A Fabricio Correa!
Un tipo lleno de odio porque trató de hacer negocios ilegales con el Estado y se lo impedimos. ¿Recuerdan?
¿Cuál es el próximo “testigo”?
¿Galo Lara?🤦🏻♀️
“Case “Bribes”:
“Since they have no evidence, do you know who the Prosecutor’s Office calls as a “witness”? Fabricio Correa!
A guy full of hate because he tried to do illegal business with the State and we stopped him. Do you remember?
Who is the next “witness”?
Galo Lara? 🤦🏻♀️”
Among the witnesses announced are Galo Mora (former secretary of Alianza Pais movement); Gustavo Baroja (former Prefect of Pichincha); Geraldo Pereira de Souza (former financial director of Odebrecht in Ecuador); Fabricio Correa (former President Correa’s brother); Pedro Espinosa (former official of the Presidency’s Legal Secretariat); and Olga Muentes (former worker of the Vice Presidency).
