Ecuador reported 273.097 confirmed cases of coronavirus with PCR tests this Saturday. Of these, 1.821 cases were registered as new in just 24 hours.
According to the report of the Ministry of Health, 230.377 patients recovered, 30.718 were discharged from hospital, 641.201 cases were discarded and 15.513 people died between confirmed and probable of having contracted the virus.
The provinces with the highest number of cases continue to be Pichincha with 96.006; Guayas with 34.613; and Manabí with 19.382.
In relation to the cantons, Quito registered 88.694 cases this Saturday, followed by Guayaquil with 23.634.
