President-elect Joe Biden supported the House of Representatives for passing the impeachment trial against Trump.
The House of Representatives in the United States approved the second impeachment trial against President Donald Trump for what happened on January 6, when several protesters attacked the Capitol.
The vote to start this second impeachment trial against Trump was promoted by Democrats and approved with 232 votes in favor and 197 against.
On his side, President-elect Joe Biden commented on what is happening with his predecessor. In addition, the Democratic leader took the opportunity to condemn the events in the capitol as something that “has never been seen in 244 years of the nation’s history.”
«This criminal attack was planned and coordinated. It was carried out by political extremists and domestic terrorists who were incited to this violence by President Trump, “said Biden.
On the other hand, Donald Trump made a speech shortly after the second trial against him was approved without mentioning it, the current president condemned the violence that occurred in the capitol.
“I want to be very clear. I unequivocally condemn the violence that we saw last week. Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country, ”said the current president.
The initiative to remove Donald Trump is in the Senate and the upper house will decide the future of the current president. The transition of power is scheduled for next Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
