Ecuador registers 195.884 cases of COVID-19 and 13.612 deaths

Ecuador reports 1.008 new infections and 50 more deaths in the last 24 hours. This Thursday, December 3, 2020, the country has a total of 195.884 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 13.612 deaths due to the pandemic.

According to the Ministry of Health, 9.129 people died with a positive diagnosis. To this figure are added the 4.483 deaths that were probably due to the respiratory virus.

At the national level, there are 541 stable hospitalized patients and 350 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 891 interned in one day. While 113 more people were discharged from hospital.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has registered 169.804 recovered patients, which represents 88.39% of the total infected. The indicator is updated every Sunday. In this last week, from November 23 to 29, 5.795 more people recovered from the disease.

Pichincha has 202 new infections and five more deaths in the last 24 hours. The province, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, has a total of 70.514 diagnosed and 2.254 deaths. Quito registers 188 more infected and amounts to 64.965 confirmed cases in the Ecuadorian capital.
