Guillermet, the alternate representative of Costa Rica to the UN, Martiza Chan, and the permanent representative of Ecuador, Cristian Espinosa, delivered the document, which culminates a joint effort, which began on March 1, 2013, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and the creation of the Technical-Scientific Advisory Committee.

Commenting on the delivery, the Costa Rican Foreign Minister, Rodolfo Solano, highlighted that both countries are completing a long and complex process that reaffirms the solid brotherhood and bilateral cooperation, as well as the success of the Diplomacy of the Oceans, which will continue to be promoted with greater vigor every day .

‘Solidarity and collaboration have allowed both countries to build a solid process for the extension of maritime boundaries. In other words, it will make us bigger, not only in terms of territory, but also in our commitment to protect our marine resources, ” he said.
