Ecuador will resume its international flights

The Ministry of Health will issue a resolution detailing the protocols that passengers must comply with.

The Ministry of Health of Peru will issue this week a resolution related to the resumption of international flights to Chile, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil (only Sao Paulo).

This measure is part of the decision that the president of Peru, Martín Vizcarra, adopted last week to reactivate the economy of the country that was affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Minister of Health, Pilar Mazzetti, said that in these days a ministerial resolution will be issued with the aim of complying with the biosafety protocols for compliance with international flights.

Mazzetti indicated that it should be defined what type of tests should be done both at the time of departure and arrival of passengers.

She argued that each country is free to establish its regulatory framework, so Peru would plan to require an affidavit of the person’s state of health to, if applicable, carry out follow-up.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mario López, explained that – at the moment – international flights will be made to the five countries of the region
