The CGT shows its disagreement with the government’s stimulus plan presented at the beginning of September.
The General Confederation of Labor (CGT), the Federation of United Trade Unions and Solidaires, will carry out on Thursday a national day of mobilizations against the policies of the Government of French President Enmanuel Macron.
The scenes of the protest will be the cities of Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Nice, Nantes and Strasbourg, in which demonstrations with interruptions and adjustments in public transport are announced, while the Minister of Transport said “he does not understand” why they are going to the workers strike.
According to the CGT in its convocation, the president, Emmanuel Macron, promised a plan to move towards a post-pandemic stage marked by social justice, but his actions distance himself from that speech.
In this sense, they demand a salary increase so that there are no salaries and pensions below USD 2.000 , a “reduction in working time to work better and work all” to 32 hours a week and the “relocation of the industry that contributes to the environmental progress “.
