Daule is the first canton in Ecuador to reactivate bars and clubs

These businesses may operate with 50% of the allowed capacity.

The Daule Emergency Operations Committee approved the new regulations that will govern this canton as of September 13, the day the state of exception in the country ends. Among the measures that will come into effect are the elimination of the vehicle restriction and the reactivation of bars and discos, with 50% capacity.

The Daule authorities approved a new regulation for this canton that would seek its economic reactivation, despite the fact that so far 842 cases of Covid-19 have been reported.

The cantonal COE announced that they will allow free vehicular circulation every day, the capacity of 100% in the buses that operate in the canton and the gradual opening of bars, discos and tolerance centers.

In the same way, it will give way to the realization of public shows in the open air, the reopening of aquatic, tourist and therapeutic activities was authorized, with the due biosecurity protocols.

In a statement, the Mayor’s Office of Daule also reported that combat sports activities will be allowed and jointly without the presence of spectators and following the respective health care.

“The same that will be strictly enforced under the responsibility of the presidents, administrators, owners of the infrastructure, with the vigilance of the control entities.”

To conclude, the mayor of that canton, Wilson Cañizares, stressed that they have not had a re-outbreak of COVID-19 cases thanks to the co-responsibility of citizens to comply with the use of a mask and biosafety measures.
