Pichincha registers 322 new confirmed cases
The country registers 1,229 new infections in the last 24 hours. In total, there are 59,486 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 7,773 deaths due to this pandemic.
The Ministry of Health, in a new presentation of information regarding the epidemiological situation, reported that there are 3,917 new tests, between PCR and rapid tests, that have been processed in the last 24 hours. From the start of the pandemic until July 2, 2020, there are 156,268 samples applied.
As of this Thursday, there are 59,486 confirmed cases, 81,432 cases discarded, 4,639 deaths with a positive diagnosis and 3,134 deaths with suspicion.
Regarding the infected situation, 25,929 people are in home isolation, 586 are stable and 300 are hospitalized with a reserved prognosis (they have never reached 300 critical internees).
This July 2 breaks the record for the total number of people hospitalized.
In addition, for three days the number of recovered patients has been maintained at 5,900. Since yesterday, July 1, the number of people who received the epidemiological discharge has remained at 14,645. While it increased to 7,487 people with hospital discharge.
Pichincha registers 322 new infections and 17 deaths. In total, the province reports 8,253 infected and 527 deceased.
Quito reports 289 new infections in the last 24 hours, totaling 7,542 confirmed cases. The city has hospital occupancy at the limit, with a waiting list for critically ill patients who must enter the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
