Ecuador virus deaths exceed 6.200 cases

June is the month with the most hospitalized for COVID-19 since the pandemic began. On June 11, 2020, the country had the highest peak of 530 stable hospitalized patients, out of a total of 45,082 infected nationwide.

Of the 132,181 samples applied in the territory, 45,082 were positive cases, 61,082 cases were discarded and 26,017 tests, between PCR and rapid tests.

Regarding the situation of the infected, 18,294 are in home isolation, 530 stable hospitalized and 223 with reserved prognosis. In total, there are 753 hospitalized patients, which is one of the highest figures, after there were 776 on June 2.

In Quito, the health authorities have reported that the city is at the limit of its hospital capacity.

Pichincha registers 48 new infections and 10 more deaths, with a total of 4,946 confirmed cases and 358 deaths. While Guayas had 52 new infections and two deaths, totaling 14,559 cases of COVID-19 and 1,478 deaths.

In addition, there are 3,768 deaths nationwide with a confirmed prognosis of coronavirus and 2,516 with suspicion of this disease.
