The Postal Regulation and Control Agency, Correos del Ecuador and the Public Media Company will be suppressed.
The Ministry of Telecommunications and the Information Society will assume the powers of the Postal Regulation and Control Agency, Correos del Ecuador and the Public Media Company, which will be suppressed based on the optimization measures ordered by the Government.
In its Twitter account, Telecomunicaciones explains that the services offered by these institutions will not be paralyzed, but as in other countries, the administration will be transferred to the governing body of telecommunications.
“The provision of the postal service or public means will not be interrupted,” states the State Portfolio on that social network.
Regarding the public media, it is clarified that they will continue with their task of informing and that they will serve as an intermediary for the country’s students to continue their academic training, through virtual education.
In addition, in a 47-second video, it is indicated that these services will be managed with quality, efficiency and savings for the benefit of Ecuadorians.
