On April 17, Glovo workers demanded decent conditions from the transnational company.
The General Manager of Glovo Ecuador in an interview with Telerama assured that the glovers were provided with gloves, masks, and alcohol by the company.
The workers demanded supplies to be able to continue with their work during the isolation due to the health emergency since, according to them, the company did not deliver biosecurity material to the workers.
The workers denounced that 5 months ago, Glovo reduced the work rate for glovers internationally.
In Ecuador, as of Monday, April 13, the reduction in the rate is reflected in the application, but also the workers have to comply with delivering group orders, which are charged at a normal price to the users; while workers are only recognized the payment of a route plus 0.30ctvs.
On Wednesday April 22, the distributors from Ecuador, Argentina, Spain, Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica and Mexico called for an International Unemployment against Precarious Labor. (C.D.A.)
