Cynthia Viteri questions figures of deceased exposed by national authorities
The mayor of Guayaquil claims that a metropolitan agent died of a coronavirus.
Through her Twitter account, the mayor of Guayaquil, Cynthia Viteri, questioned the figures of the deceased published by the national authorities.
Viteri commented that in the death certificate of the metropolitan agent Ángel Ruiz Cadena, respiratory failure – viral pneumonia, but not due to coronavirus, is stated as the cause of death.
She even attaches the death certificate and even the mortuary part published by the Municipality’s Human Resources Directorate.
Viteri insisted that the metropolitan agent is part of the COVID-19 statistics.
According to the Government, as of March 30, 60 people have died in the country due to this pandemic.
