The Spanish writer Jorge Carrión will present his novel “Membrana”, in Quito -Ecuador this Friday, August 26.
This new novel, published by the Gutenberg publishing house, is set in the year 2100. In those days, the Museum of the 21st Century is inaugurated and the text that is presented is the catalog of the exhibition, written with poetic and essayistic force by an intelligent artificial.
Jorge Carrión works as director of the Master’s Degree in Literary Creation at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. He is the author of numerous books, such as “Barcelona. Los vagabundos de la chatarra”, “Teleshakespeare”, “Los muertos”, “Los huérfanos”, “Los turistas” or “Librerías”.
In 2020, Carrión ventured into the world of podcasts, writing and narrating “Solaris”, a series of essays on postmodernity that was well received by the public.
In addition, his articles and reports have appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, Letras Libres, National Geographic Viajes, La Vanguardia, among other media.
