Russia reiterates stagnation of negotiations with Ukraine

Talks to find a peaceful solution to the bilateral conflict between Russia and Ukraine are at a standstill, reiterated today the deputy director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexei Zaitsev.

“Statements by Ukrainian politicians about their unwillingness to negotiate with Moscow only confirm the importance of implementing the tasks of demilitarization and get Ukraine rid of Nazi’s supporters,” the official referred.

At a press briefing, Zaitsev pointed out that the countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which are supposedly in favor of an early cessation of hostilities, are doing everything possible to prevent it.

“They are increasing arms deliveries to Kiev, which scale is estimated at billions of dollars. Washington alone sent military goods worth three and a half billion dollars,” he detailed.

In this regard, he argued that Great Britain, France, Canada, Poland and the Baltic countries are actively involved in arms deliveries to create more destruction of social infrastructure and civilian casualties.

He also assured that work continues to find evidence and identify those responsible for crimes against Russian military personnel and the civilian population of Donbass.

“The Russian Investigation Committee has already initiated 776 cases on the facts of crimes committed by the Ukrainian security forces against the civilian population of Donbass and Russian military personnel. The work to find evidence and identify the perpetrators continues,” the diplomat stressed.
