A traffic accident that occured in western Uganda left 20 people dead, including seven minors and several injured, the police reported.
The traffic police´s spokesman, Faridah Nampiima, informed that the tragedy happened in the Kabarole district when the bus in which these people were traveling went off the road and crashed into tea plantations.
In Uganda, where roads and highways are often in poor conditions from the construction point of view, about 20,000 road accidents occur every year, with an annual average of 2,000 deaths, according to government data.
