Soldiers and residents confronted two US military convoys in the Syrian province of Hasakeh, located some 600 kilometers northeast of this capital.
A column of four US armored vehicles was expelled by the residents of the locality of Hamo, local activists cited by several media outlets reported.
They said that the army checkpoint stopped the caravan and prevented it from crossing through the village, and then the locals gathered and stoned the US vehicles, forcing them to leave the area.
On the other hand, the residents of Salhiya Harb repelled the entry of five US armored vehicles into their village and forced them to turn back and change their route to reach their illegal base.
Moreover, popular resistance groups, state television reported, attacked a vehicle of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed by Washington, with an explosive device.
The attack occurred in the town of al-Hisha, located 55 kilometers from the northeastern city of Raqa, and killed two gunmen and injured three people.
