The Secretary of Human Rights reported that the 20 inmates murdered in the Turi prison have already been identified.
15 of the 20 corpses of the persons deprived of liberty (ppl) who were assassinated last Sunday, April 3, in the Turi prison, have already been handed over to their relatives; while all the deceased left by this new massacre in the social rehabilitation system have already been identified.
The Secretary of Human Rights, Bernarda Ordóñez, specified that the transfer of corpses to different provinces has been coordinated.
For his part, the director of the Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty (Snai), Pablo Ramírez, reported that on the day of the riots, 130 people were evacuated from this prison located in Azuay.
He added that of the 5 people injured, 3 continue to receive medical attention.
Likewise, Eduardo Bonilla, Secretary of Communication, explained that 124 women deprived of liberty in the Turi Prison receive medical care and psychological support from the Ministry of Health.
