Over 650,000 refugees have been evacuated from Ukraine to Russia

Russia’s security service reported that 653,000 people have come to the country from Ukraine, 20,000 of whom have arrived in the last 24 hours.

More than 127,000 of the refugees are children, according to TASS news agency.

Some 371,000 evacuees are from the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, where the evacuation began on February 18, in addition to 186,000 Russians and 95,000 Ukrainians, as well as citizens from other countries.

At this moment, 39 Russian regions are sheltering 29,000 refugees, over 11,000 of whom are children, in 431 temporary reception centers. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees noted that more than four million people have fled the armed conflict in Ukraine to neighboring territories since February 24.
