The Colombian Air Force, in addition to two aeronautical companies from Brazil and the United States, expressed their interest in acquiring the presidential Legacy EMB-135 BJ plane.
The head of the Technical Secretariat for Real Estate Management of the Public Sector, Fernando Villacís, was in Florida, United States, to promote the sale of the plane, according to the newspaper El Universo.
Villacís said that he has contacted companies specializing in the marketing of this type of aircraft, in order to “put the Legacy on a global showcase” through exhibitions in the United States.
Regarding the price of the Legacy, the official said that its helmet is insured for USD 8 million, and that it was received with a valuation of USD 7.5 million. But he clarified that a commercial appraisal must be carried out to put it up for sale.
