Russia reports destruction of 62 military targets in Ukraine

The Russian Armed Forces destroyed 62 military targets in Ukraine during the early morning, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Major General Igor Konashenkov, reported today.

He explained that this figure includes three command posts, a multiple-launch rocket launcher, two missile and artillery ammunition depots, a fuel depot and 52 warehouses housing war matériel, in addition to six drones, an Mi-8 helicopter and a Tochka-U ballistic missile.

Konashenkov said that Kalibr cruise missiles, launched from the Black Sea, hit the industrial hangars of an armored vehicles repair plant in the city of Nezhin, in the Chernigov province.

He went on to report that similar projectiles, launched from the Caspian Sea, and Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, launched over Crimean airspace, destroyed an important fuel and lubricant depot of the Ukrainian army near Konstantinovka, in the Nikolaev province.

Konashenkov said a high-precision air-to-ground missile attack killed more than 100 special operations personnel and foreign mercenaries at a training center near Ovruch in the Zhytomyr province.

The Russian Ministry of Defense indicated that since February 24th, 207 drones, 1,467 tanks and armored vehicles, 148 multiple-launch rocket launchers, 573 artillery systems and 1,262 general-purpose vehicles have been destroyed.
