Russia plans humanitarian actions in Ukrainian regions

(Prensa Latina) Russia today planned 35 humanitarian actions in the regions of Kiev, Sumy, Kharkov and Kherson, as well as in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, announced the Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters for humanitarian aid.

According to the head of this management mechanism, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, 280 tons of basic necessities, including food and medicines, will be delivered to the population of the areas under the control of Russian troops.

The head of the Russian National Defense Control Center also informed that in the last 24 hours more than 5,800 people, including more than 1,600 children, were evacuated from Ukraine, TASS news agency reported.

Since the beginning of the military operation in that country, more than 149,000 people, including 40,629 children, were evacuated from the danger zones by the Russian forces, it stated.

According to the Russian security agencies, since the beginning of the movement of Donbass residents to Russia on February 18, 166,700 people arrived to Russia from the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic.

Almost 94 thousand of them are citizens of Ukraine, more than 61 thousand citizens of Russia and 11 thousand 200 from other countries, the spokesman of the security department pointed out.
