U.S. considers bolstering troop presence in eastern Europe

(Prensa Latina) President Joe Biden on Tuesday ordered to send more troops to allied countries in eastern Europe following his threats against Russia for an alleged invasion of Ukraine.

“As Russia envisages its next step, we also have our next move prepared,” President Biden said from the White House.

In response to Russia’s admission that it will not withdraw forces from Belarus, I´ve ordered additional deployments of US troops and equipment to reinforce our Baltic allies: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, Joe Biden said.

Washington deployed or repositioned some 6,000 troops in Germany, Poland and Romania, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allied countries.

The United States have launched a toxic media hype against Russia past November, focusing on the Kremlin’s alleged plans to invade Ukraine, an assertion strongly rejected over and over again by Russian authorities.

While President Vladimir Putin claimed his country will solve the border conflict through peaceful talks, Joe Biden assured that Putin is making a logic to take more territory by force. “This is the beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine,” President Biden stated.

In his speech, the US president did not specify how many troops would be sent to the three Baltic nations or where they would be repositioned from, but did assure that they are “totally defensive moves.”
