This Friday, February 14, the president of the Republic, Lenín Moreno had an appointment with the head of the World Bank (WB), David Malpass, was confirmed by Finance Minister Richard Martínez, who says that Ecuador asks to advance the disbursement planned for March, of USD 300 million of the funds negotiated with the World Bank. This official visit was at the Saint Regis hotel, near the White House.
Martinez denied that the World Bank requests to close the Bank of the IESS (Biess). After this meeting, Moreno will have a similar visit with the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, in the same hotel. Now, the Ecuadorian president will meet with migrants. It is expected that on Saturday, February 15, he will return to Ecuador.
