Rains persist in Dominican Republic

 (Prensa Latina) Rains will continue today in the Dominican Republic due to the incidence of a trough that may cause thunderstorms and wind gusts which will range from moderate to strong.

According to the National Meteorological Office, the thicker rains will occur in the north, southwest, Central Cordillera and some points of the border area.

Several provinces remain on weather alert, before possible flash floods of rivers, streams and creeks, as well as landslides and urban flooding.

These territories are Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Monte Plata, El Seibo, Hato Mayor and San Cristóbal.
