(Prensa Latina) Attacks by armed groups in the Nigerian states of Kaduna and Niger (Northwest) left 39 dead, the media reported.
The assaults in several communities were carried out on January 28 in Niger in which 28 people died, while on Sunday in Kaduna 11 people were killed.
Among the attacked towns were Zangon Kataf, where 40 people were wounded. Meanwhile, in the communities of Galadima-Kogo and Galkogo the number of wounded people was 66.
The Kaduna State government reported the day before that more than 30 houses were burnt during the attack.
In Nigerian territory, the most populated in Africa with more than 200 million inhabitans, assaults and kidnappings of officials, businesssmen and students by criminal and extremist groups are frequent.
To annihilate militiamen from the radical group Islamic State Province of West Africa and other violent groups such as Boko Haram, president Muhammadu Buhari ordered the security forces to set up attacks against these groups.
