In Ecuador, the province of Guayas at least 50 cases of violent deaths in January

Guayaquil is not the only city where violent deaths occur daily, despite police and military control.

On the morning of this Friday, January 28, on one side of Simón Bolívar Avenue, in Quito, the body of a man with his hands tied and shot in the head was found.

With this death, plus two registered yesterday in Guayaquil, there are three violent deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

All these deaths occur when the Government sent, last Tuesday, January 25, a draft Security Law, with the purpose of mitigating the problems of national security and the prison crisis.

Over the weekend, the government arranged for more police and military to join the insecurity in the city and from there the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Max Campos, controls the rest of the provinces.

On his Twitter account, President Guillermo Lasso recognized the work carried out by the National Police during the raids and maintained that the fight against the mafias is firm and that operations will continue on a national scale to restore peace to the streets of the country.

From the weekend until this Friday, January 28, there would be 7 more violent deaths in Guayas (4 in the Playita del Guasmo, 1 in a restaurant in front of the Mall del Sol, 1 in the La Iguana sector and 1 on Barcelona Avenue) .

Until January 17, 2022, the Vice Ministry of the Interior announced that in Zone 8, made up of Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón, 43 murders were recorded.

Until this January 28, there would already be at least 50 cases, in just the first month of 2022.
