Iran repudiates UN silence facing Israeli crimes

(Prensa Latina) Iran has repudiated the silence by the UN Security Council in the face of the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, HispanTV highlighted on Thursday.

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht-Ravanchi denounced that during 2021, the Tel Aviv regime killed almost more than 340 Palestinians, included 86 children, the highest number of minors since 2014.

Takht-Ravanchi also stated that the occupation forces demolished 894 Palestinian-owned structures and as a result of which, more than 1,100 people had to leave their homes.

The situation in the occupied territories, he added, continues to deteriorate, which poses, he emphasized, a threat to peace and security in the Middle East.

One of the main reasons for such a dramatic scenario, he said, is the inaction of the UN Security Council, because of which Israel continues to commit crimes against the oppressed people of Palestine.
