Venezuela deploys military to combat irregular groups on the border with Colombia

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) of Venezuela announced on Sunday the deployment in Apure state, on the border with Colombia, to combat the Colombian terrorist groups known as Tancol.

The head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), General in Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that the FANB will guarantee the order given by President Nicolás Maduro: “’In 2022 the homeland of Bolívar and Chávez will be free of TANCOL’ . We are ready!”.

“Following the orders of President Nicolás Maduro and the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino, the FANB will fight against the TANCOL groups in any of their forms,” ​​said Hernández Lárez.

The Ceofanb indicated that they are “deployed in security and control missions in the towns of Amparo, Guasdualito and Victoria in Apure state.”

The entity stressed that its objective is to guarantee “that no illegal drug-trafficking terrorist group threatens our sovereignty and independence and peace of our people.”
