(Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Luis Arce celebrated the reduction this year to 0.7 percent of lethality due to Covid-19, in relation to the six percent registered in 2021, reported local media.
The president attributed this progress to the government’s work on health, by confronting the pandemic a year ago with measures such as mass immunization, the Bolivian News Agency reported.
During a public event in La Paz, Arce called on Bolivians to get vaccinated, especially children and grandparents, and to contribute in general to this crusade to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among family members.
“It is scientifically proven that those who get vaccinated are less likely to die,” said the head of state during the celebration of the 184th anniversary of the province of Murillo in La Paz.
“That is what we want -he assured- to give more life to Bolivians. We are working and we will continue working for that”.
The head of State called for the protection of students from Covid-19, through the combination of on site and home classes during the learning process.
The authority promised the immediate construction of a technological institute in the municipality of Palca, through the technical work of a Special Projects Unit.
The national government -he assured- will also continue with the elaboration of laws to improve the country’s economy this year.
“We are moving forward gradually “We are working to return to being the best economy in the region.”
