The Secretary General of Communication of the Presidency, Eduardo Bonilla, reported that the country is close to achieving community immunity.
This Thursday, December 2, 74.57% of the population would already have their two doses of the coronavirus vaccine. The government’s goal is to reach 85% by December 31 of this year.
In his Twitter account, Bonilla said that nationwide there are authorized centers and called on citizens to comply with this process, in order to strengthen defenses against the virus that already has a new variant.
According to the Ministry of Health vaccination meter, as of November 30, 13,286,700 people received the first dose, 11,390,325 the second, and 421,031 the booster dose.
The objective is to immunize at least 16’096,525 inhabitants aged 5 and over, out of a total population of 17’751,277
