“20 homicides have been reported nationwide during the day,” the police reported on Twitter.
Bukele ordered raids by the Police and the Armed Forces in the places where homicides took place, and warned that his government will not allow a return to the past promoted by “dark forces.”
The head of state announced that he will announce new actions to contain the escalation of violence and restore tranquility, after months with negligible numbers of homicides.
